About TimeLimit.io
TimeLimit.io is a screen time management app that lets parents set flexible access rules for apps and categories on Android devices. Control when games, social media, and other apps can be used, and set daily or weekly time limits that work across devices.
Category-based scheduling puts you in charge. Group apps by purpose, then decide what times each category is available. Stop kids from gaming late at night, limit social media during homework hours, or block streaming apps entirely. Time limits work in multiple ways: restrict total usage per day, spread limits across a week, or combine both—like allowing 2 hours of gaming per weekend day but only 3 hours total for the week.
Bonus time and pause controls add flexibility. Grant extra screen time when earned, or temporarily suspend all limits for an hour or a full day without changing your rules. When restrictions need to adapt, you stay in control.
Multiple users on one device? Create separate parent and child profiles with independent settings and time counters. Each child sees only their own profile; parents can switch between any user to adjust settings or check activity. This makes tablets and shared devices manageable for families.
One user, many devices? Link phones and tablets so screen time counts together. Your child's total usage across all devices is tracked in one place. Allowing an app on one device instantly affects the others. You can enforce single-device-at-a-time rules or allow simultaneous use, with settings tuned to your family's needs.
Manage from anywhere. View and adjust settings on any linked device. When connected mode is enabled, changes sync instantly—no need to touch your child's device to update rules.
Note that some features require a small monthly or annual subscription if you don't host your own server. TimeLimit.io works best on standard Android devices; performance may be limited on certain brands like Huawei and Wiko due to manufacturer power-saving features, though the app can be optimized with the right settings.
